About
Starting (or restarting) therapy takes real courage. It’s natural to feel a mix of everything from anticipation and hope to anxiety or hesitation. In our sessions, I provide a safe, empathetic, non-judgmental space to explore and navigate those initial uncertainties. Together, we’ll explore your story to build a deeper understanding of your experiences, clearing a path toward the growth and well-being you deserve.
My approach is uniquely tailored to you, blending psychodynamic depth with practical tools like CBT and mindfulness. As a wounded healer myself, I believe in continuing my own therapeutic work which allows me to show up more fully for yours. Whether you are on a hero’s, heroine’s, or non-binary journey, I am here to honor your individual path with culturally informed care.
Life can be heavy, and whatever is weighing on your mind or making it hard to get through the day, please know that things can get better. I truly believe you already have everything you need inside you to be your most authentic self. If you’re feeling ready to take that next step and unlock that version of yourself, I’m here to walk beside you with help and guidance.

Certifications and Expertise
My work is deeply sustained by two decades of mindfulness meditation, a journey that included immersive study at a Zen temple in Kyoto, Japan. By maintaining my own daily and community practice, I stay dedicated to a ‘beginner’s mind’—an openness that I bring into every session. Whether we practice mindfulness together or I use it to hold space for you, it is an integral part of my process. To further support your recovery, I utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help alleviate the distress of past trauma and unlock your natural path to healing.
In my work with couples, I focus on identifying the bonds and attachment patterns that drive your relationship, using strength-based relational techniques to turn conflict into understanding. When working with families, I employ Functional, Strategic and Systemic approaches to improve parenting skills and shift family dynamics toward positive reinforcement.Â
My work with children and adolescents is rooted in play and sandtray therapy, providing a safe space for them to communicate and process emotions through a medium that feels natural to them.Â
Across all my work, I integrate CBT based modalities to help clients reframe negative thoughts and build lasting resilience.

Education and Training
I earned my Bachelors from UCLA in Anthropology with a socio-cultural concentration and my Masters at Antioch University in Clinical Psychology specializing in Spiritual Depth Psychology and Trauma studies, with an emphasis in military-related conflict.Â
I gained diverse experience working with children and adolescents in schools: elementary, junior high, and high school. I valued my time working in community health settings, low-cost/ sliding scale clinics serving immigrant families, the marginalized, and various clienteles. This included children, adolescents, couples, adults, seniors and families. I have also worked in private practice with adolescents, adults, seniors and couples, and this remains part of my work today. LGBTIA+, gender identity, and affirmative therapy are also part of my experienced work.
I have volunteered in numerous settings, community based and private, including an AIDS Healthcare Foundation hospice, Project Literacy, and Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats. My lifelong goal remains helping myself, others and the communities where we live, work and play.Â
